The Department of Natural Science offers activities in many scientific aspects including research, training, and service. Earth science is the science of exploration, discovery, and earth stewardship. The Department of Natural Science intends to address all issues relating to natural sciences, biology, chemistry, earth sciences, solid Earth, aquatic, and atmosphere.
Laboratory facilities are available for a wide range of work in chemistry, geochemistry, mineralogy, petrography, ore microscopy, petrology, hydrogeology, and sedimentology. Instrumental facilities include measurement of physical and chemical properties of minerals, thermal analysis; atomic absorption facilities and rock cutting, grinding, and ore polishing.
To expand understanding and creativity through high-quality research and teaching in natural science, environment, pollution control, climate change, and speciality research, with a focus on basic and applied research that solves real-world challenges.
To be at the forefront of interdisciplinary research and education, particularly in environmental science and engineering science. We intend to create a collaborative atmosphere that encourages innovation, allowing researchers, educators, and industry to reinvent scientific research and benefit society. We also offer a natural awareness infrastructure that facilitates successful communication and collaboration throughout society.
