Description: "Sulaymaniyah’s Breath" Led by the Kurdistan Institution for Strategic Studies and Scientific Research (KISSR), is a pioneering environmental initiative designed to combat the city's escalating air pollution challenges. By integrating advanced spatiotemporal GIS mapping, source apportionment, and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) airflow simulations, the project models Sulaymaniyah's unique valley topography and complex urban growth trap emissions. Ultimately, this research bridges the gap between academic science and civic action, providing policymakers with a data-driven blueprint for urban zoning, fuel reform, and public health interventions to ensure a sustainable, breathable future.
